Kalama Kosala See the famous Kalama Sutta A03-065.
Koliya Kosala, west of Kapilavatthu. In the time of the Buddha, King Pasenadi Kosala presided over the Koliyas. Capital of Kosala was Savatthi.

Licchavi Vesali See Vajji.
Magadha Magadha The people of Magadha or 'the Magadhas'. See e.g. Dhp188-192.
Malla Kusinara/Pava
Moriya Pipphalivana This clan received the ashes after the Buddha's cremation.
Sakya Kapilavatthu The clan in which the Buddha was born.
Vajji North of Magadha across the Ganges River. This confederation consisted of the Licchavi's and the Vedehi's. The latter was the clan of the mother of Ajatasattu. The Vedehis had Mithila as their capital.
